WHY IT MATTERS
Numbers Were Never the Whole Story
For years, the financial services industry has obsessed over one thing: returns. Better funds, sharper algorithms, faster platforms. But ask anyone who has actually sat across the table from a client through a market crash, and they’ll tell you a different truth. Numbers were never the whole story. People were.
Clients don’t leave because a portfolio underperformed. They leave because no one understood how they truly felt about risk in the first place. Advisors are taught to read markets, not people. Distributors are trained to pitch products, not to notice the quiet fears and instincts driving every decision a client makes. The most successful professionals in the industry truly understand this difference.
BiasIQ was built to close that gap, bringing behavioural rigour to the people and systems shaping India’s financial advice, so that guidance, whether given by a person or powered by AI, finally starts with understanding the human being on the other side.

The story behind Portfolio Comfort starts with real clients, not theory.
OUR FOUNDER
Meet Gaurav

Gaurav Setia is a seasoned private banker having over two decades of experience in wealth management across brands like HSBC, ICICI and Kotak private client group. During his career across organizations, with clientele across nine countries including India, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, Spain, Canada, the UK and USA, Gaurav has managed HNI clients, run teams, setup regions and a mutual fund distribution house, all throughout in the field of wealth management. In that time, he noticed patterns the industry rarely stops to examine – clients with exceptional portfolio performance were not necessarily always satisfied, while clients with far more modest returns stayed loyal for decades in spite of the underperformance. Returns, it turned out, were never the real driver of trust. Understanding them was.
That observation shaped the way Gaurav ran his own practice as a mutual fund distributor – a portfolio only works if it’s built around how a client actually experiences risk, not just what they say they want on paper. BiasIQ is a natural extension of that philosophy, taking nearly two decades of hands-on client experience and turning it into structured training for the advisors, distributors, and institutions shaping the future of financial advice in India.
